Seashore Academy

Our family began our relationship with Seashore Academy in the 2021-22 school year. My children are in 7th and 8th grade. We found Seashore through a friend’s recommendation after having challenges in the 2020-21 school year. What a relief to find this wonderful community of learning for my children. I was looking for as close to a “normal” school environment we could get, and found so much better and more as a result. The middle school years can be rough; yet the community and atmosphere of Seashore is nurturing without coddling, while allowing my kids to learn life lessons and grow. I feel that my kids actually have a relationship with their teachers and that each one truly knows and cares about them. The small class size and attention my kids receive has allowed them to learn more than in the traditional public and private schools they attended K-6/7. In regards to the social atmosphere, I love that Seashore allows all grade levels to be together during lunch recess. It’s absolutely wonderful that my kids are engaging with their little buddies in the younger grades, whereas most adolescents at other middle schools spend breaks on their phones. A 1st grader even invited my 8th grader to his birthday party! That melted my heart. Plus, I think it’s great character building for the older kids to set a good example for the youngsters. The lessons go both ways. My only regret is that I didn’t find Seashore sooner. It’s the best thing that resulted from 2020 for our family. Thank you,
