FAQ about Seashore

About Seashore Academy

What is Seashore Academy and how does it work?

Seashore Academy is a private academy supporting the needs of those who want the academic excellence and structured environment of private education with the freedom and flexibility of homeschooling.

Our Education

What classes are offered at Seashore Academy?

We keep it down to the basics and want each student to have a strong foundation in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and History. Students have the opportunity to engage in foreign languages such as Chinese, American Sign Language and Spanish as well.

By placing children by their ability instead of age, our program allows students to excel in their strengths and weaknesses.

We average 15:1 students per teacher and we are committed to maintaining small class sizes.

Your child will receive progress reports and unofficial transcripts from Seashore Academy. You have the option of registering with a non-classroom based charter school with whom we are affiliated to receive an official transcript.

To ensure you stay in the loop, our dedicated teachers send out comprehensive academic updates every week. These updates provide detailed information about the activities covered in core classes, including specific chapters, pages, and other relevant details.

We have four classes per day plus two half-hour recess periods.

Families may budget for tuition, books and supplies without the hassle and pressure of galas, auctions, and so forth.

Uniforms are mandatory at Seashore Academy. Official uniforms can be purchased from our official store. Click this to go to our shop. The goal of both these policies is to keep our students focused on good values and on academics.

Seashore students, with very few exceptions, are not allowed to use Chromebooks, cell phones, smart watches or tablets on campus. We teach in the traditional manner with pencil and paper.

Our staff is on site between 8 AM and 4 PM

We offer some early morning and late afternoon extracurricular activities, which are published in the parent portal at the start of each academic year. Drop-off is between 9:10–9:25 AM, and pick-up is between 2:45–3:00 PM.

Why I Created Seashore Academy?

Our founder started Seashore Academy after experiencing firsthand how traditional education often doesn’t support real family needs.

She imagined a place where kids could flourish without screens, and parents wouldn’t be forced to choose between their values and their children’s schooling.

Today, Seashore is that place — and it’s growing into something even bigger.
